The Home School and Camp Mohawk are under the direct supervision of Mr. & Mrs. Stephen M. Schainman, Directors. Mr. Schainman is a graduate of Yale University and has a master's degree from Harvard. He has been active in education and camping for many years and has held both regional and national positions with the American Camping Association. Mrs. Schainman is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design and received her master's degree in education from Tufts University. She has taught in public schools and served as a child care consultant to corporations. Both Mr. & Mrs. Schainman have been affiliated with the Home School and Mohawk Day Camps for more than 35 years.

Mrs. Carole Bouchier is a graduate of Ithaca College and has received advanced training in early childhood education at the Bank Street College of Education and the University of Buffalo. She has served on our school and the Mohawk Day Camp staff for more than 30 years.
